STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE | TIMERAISER
Developed for the 2012 Student Leadership Conference, the Timeraiser is in its second session this year. A joint venture between Framework Inc. and the UBC SLC, the Timeraiser aims to promote community engagement and the Vancouver local arts community to SLC delegates.
As a delegate at the Student Leadership Conference, you will have the opportunity during the Lunchtime Session to bid in a silent auction to take home a piece of art contributed by a local artist. Here’s the twist though- instead of money, you bid hours of your time! Delegates can bid up to 50 hours of volunteer work to one (or more) of this year’s participating organizations in order to win their art.
Already involved? For those delegates who are already volunteering prior to the date of the conference, you can bid a maximum of 25 completed hours towards your overall bid and be that much closer to winning a piece of art! Proof of completion of these hours from your volunteer organization will be required to validate your bid.
The Timeraiser is an awesome way to get involved and contribute to your community, as well as be rewarded for your commitment to volunteering!
